AltaGas Utilities will discontinue service when a property is vacated and no application for continued service has been made and accepted by us. You can protect your property by prearranging for AltaGas Utilities to automatically transfer the account to your name when there is no application for continued service by a new renter.

If you choose to not pre-arrange the transfer of the account to your name, ensure that you take all actions needed to prevent damage to your property and the property of others as a result of the freezing of water pipes, etc.

Safety Tips:

• Check rental properties throughout the heating season to ensure the building is properly heated
• Have natural gas appliances serviced annually by a qualified gas fitter to ensure they will work reliably through cold weather
